All on 4/All on X

This is an illustration of an all on 4 or all on x. All on 4 or all on x just means permanent teeth supported by 4 or (x) any other number of implants. This procedure uses regular implants only and is also known as a FP3 (fixed prosthetic 3). The all on 4 or all on x procedure is one full arch of teeth screwed into the number of implants you and your provider decide on and has an artificial pink gum line. There is a gap between the implants and prosthetic requiring extensive hygiene, and the arch needs to be removed at least once a year by a dentist for a professional cleaning.

There is a dentist in the states that uses a number of mini implants and then cements bridges onto those implants for permanent teeth. #1 mini implants are not meant to support permanent teeth or teeth that don’t come out. THEY ARE TOO SMALL! #2 cementing teeth onto implants can cause peri implantitis which is a pathological condition that occurs in the tissue around the implants. It is characterized by inflammation in the peri-implant connective tissue causes progressive bone loss of the supporting bone. So if teeth are cemented onto implants, it should not be using mini implants and should be done by a dentist that knows what they are doing in this situation. Someone who does this all of the time.
